R’n’B singer J.Scott makes a triumphant return to the music landscape with his all new sex infused, trap inspired slow jam ‘edibles’. The singer hasn’t released a project since his 2018 EP, ‘Call Me When You Get This’, a dance, R’n’B record that immaculately shows off all sides of J.Scott’s colourful personality as well as perfectly highlighting his silky soulful voice. Taking the last two years to expand his distinct sound, J.Scott returns with a unique, more sultry track to grab the attention of his audience.

“Over the sound of soft, silky vocals and a sensual electric guitar, ‘edibles’ portrays having a physical experience with a lover under the influence. J.Scott recalls “I had the idea of writing a song called ‘edibles’ coming back from LA Pride last year. That dream manifested one night in one of my most memorable sessions where myself and a good friend had one too many magical cookies and created an audio moment.” This track will give listeners a contact high to remember”

Genre-defying J.Scott is an ever-evolving singer-songwriter derived from the slums of Jacksonville, FL. Born Javon Scott, the classically trained vocalist found his love for music at a young age through singing in church and classical choirs. It is clear the singer/songwriter has a variety of musical and vocal inspirations, hearing inflections of Brandy and Stevie Wonder throughout his art, creating a feeling of nostalgia with the 90’s old school influences with a modern twist.

As an openly gay black male, the vocalist acknowledges the obstacles that may be against him in the music industry. He encourages his supporters (aka the #ScottieHotties) to trust their gifts and work hard to fulfill their dreams because anything is possible. The up and coming Pop/R&B sensation is gearing up to release his next EP "ADORATION" in the summer of 2020 and “edibles” gave us a taste of what to expect.

The singer recorded a VHS inspired 90's music video whilst in lockdown, perfectly fitting with the sexual theme of the song as J.Scott plays on the ideas of pleasure, lust and isolated romance. The video's 90's feel brings to life J.Scott's vocals, embodying the nostalgia that is present throughout his music as he combines the 90's soul with modern trap and R'n'B.
