SO JK ROWLING CAN WRITE THE WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS BOOKS BUT CAN'T READ THE FUCKING ROOM?

J Karen Rowling woke up one Saturday morning in her million-pound mansion, let out a long-privileged yawn, got up and walked over to her £4,000 bay window. As she looked out past her 12 acres of land, she saw a world fighting. Fighting a plague, living in lockdown all whilst millions gathered in the streets protesting for basic human rights. She let out a sigh and walked over to her marble table, got out her brand new Iphone, checked her bank balance and her privilege once more and then took to Twitter to send out more hate filled tweets attacking trans lives.

Yes, you are reading that right, despite all the darkness and uncertainty going on, J Karen Rowling thought now would be a good time to launch another hate fuelled Twitter frenzy on trans people. Peak Karen behaviour, right? It is no secret the author of Harry Potter is a transphobe, this is not her first attack and it seems she has no intention to educating herself or stopping her hate filled bigotry – I mean she made Dumbldore gay…what more do you want?

As she continues to ruin all of our childhoods with her unwarranted disgusting opinions, let’s all quickly apparate back to 2019 when she first showed her true colours after a couple shots of Veritaserum…

In 2018, the Centre for Global Development (CGD) contracted with a British woman named Maya Forstater as a consultant. Forstater is a vocal TERF (Trans Exclusive Radical Feminist), a supporter of a transphobic political movement arguing that transgender women are men, and thus should be exempt from the legal and social protections afforded to women who are biologically assigned female at birth. Can we all collectively get together and just throw all the TERF’s into Azkaban because I’m ready to use all 3 of the unforgiveable curses. ASAP.

Throughout September 2018, and over the course of several different conversations in several different contexts, Forstater tweeted and retweeted a number of critical, disturbing and dehumanizing things about both trans people and gender non-conforming identities. By March 2019, CDG had woke tf up and smelt the Butterbeer and Forstater was fired.

Forstater responded by suing the company and its director, claiming that not renewing her contract was workplace discrimination against which she was protected by Britain’s 2010 Equality Act — even though that act also prohibits discrimination on the basis of “gender reassignment.” The case was seen as a major test of the law, with queer and trans lives fearing that a ruling in Forstater’s favour would mean open season on harassment of marginalized communities in the workplace.

This is when J Karen Rowling’s Polyjuice potion finally wore off and she decided to reveal her true identity of being a transphobic goblin – tweeting in support of Maya with the hashtag #IStandWithMaya

“In addition to this long, problematic history, trans fans have spent several years pointing out that, for a while now, Rowling seems to have been subtly sending what might best be described as transphobic dog whistles. For instance, in her 2015 novel The Silkworm (published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith), Rowling includes a jarring subplot involving a trans woman who’s framed through a transphobic lens. Another scene in her following book, 2017’s Career of Evil, left some readers questioning whether it could be interpreted as transphobic satire. In 2018, she liked a transphobic tweet accusing trans women of being “men in dresses” — after which her publicist framed the like as a “middle-aged moment,” i.e. an accidental click. Rowling had a similar “accident” again in June 2019, when she straight-up followed a virulently transphobic British TERF on social media” – VOX

J Karen also went on to favourite a disturbingly transphobic tweet in mid-May of this year –

With the knowledge that J Karen is a truly Umbridge-esque TERF, it is important to remind ourselves this pride season we must continue to protect our trans brothers and sisters and our gender non-conforming family, more than ever. This type of uneducated idiocy and hatred is what they are up against every day and as J Karen has made clear, the elite are still happy to continue the oppression of trans lives and spread dangerous false rhetoric’s. Whilst it would be nice to hope one day all TERFs rot in Azkaban, this is not the reality. This is a continued fight and fight we will not lose. It’s like the battle of Hogwarts except Voldemort is J Karen Rowling and the death eaters are transphobes.
