Queer rap artist James Indigo just dropped 'Daddy's Coming Home' and we need to talk about it...it's a bop. James, who released his debut track 'CXNTOUR' back in August of 2019 has finally fed us all with his new grime meets mod-pop banger 'Daddy's Coming Home'.
The track starts with minor key chords that elude into a hard grime beat coming together to create a new, unique and unusual sound that vastly differ's from James' 'CXNTOUR', showing a new direction for the artist as we await a full EP which is rumoured to be in the works.
Lyrically, in true James fashion, the song focuses on sex, lust and features a plethora of puns and clever pop culture referencing bars. The visuals were produced by the legendary Kassandra Powell and as per usual, she didn't disappoint. The video, which centred heavily around 'scally' Britain, was also interwoven with various biblical influences that are somewhat autobiographical for the rapper as he plays with the ideologies of being queer and the relationship that has with religion.
