JUNE 20TH 2020

It’s Juneteenth, which commemorates the ending of slavery in the United Sates – AKA the day when news of the emancipation and the Civil Wars end finally reached the last group of slaves in Texas. Our queen and holy leader, Queen Bey, arrived on the final hour of Juneteenth and dropped new track ‘Black Parade’, announcing all proceeds will be donated to black owned businesses around the world.

“Happy Juneteenth Weekend! I hope we continue to share joy and celebrate each other, even in the midst of struggle. Please continue to remember our beauty, strength and power,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram “Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.”

Black Parade benefits BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund — administered by the National Urban League — to support black-owned small businesses in need. The track is not only an incredible feel good record, it takes you on a history lesson, discussing black history and black pride. In recent weeks, the queen has also penned open letter demanding justice in the deaths of both George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

“Black Parade” is Beyoncé’s latest musical offering, following the remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” in April. The remix was one of a few COVID-19 relief efforts from the singer, which also included $6 million in funds for community-based organizations and a testing campaign in Houston.

'BLACK PARADE' BELOW -

Not that any of us didn’t already know this, but Beyoncé proves yet again how you use your platform for good, consistently using her voice for change and continuing to uplift the black community in any way she can. It is impossible to not stan, THIS is how you use your platform and its clear, other celebrities should be taking notes, okay?
